Age Doesn’t Define Wisdom || A Powerful Conversation With 10-Year-Old Laylaa

She’s only 10 years old, but sitting across from Laylaa, you quickly realise that age doesn’t always define wisdom. I had the most beautiful conversation with her, and I was genuinely taken aback by her confidence, her humour, the way she expressed herself, and most of all, the Deen that has clearly been nurtured within her. There was something about speaking to her that stayed with me long after our conversation ended. It reminded me of how often we convince ourselves that we need the perfect environment, the perfect circumstances, or the perfect place to become the people we want to be or to raise our children in a certain way. But perhaps it’s much simpler than that. It’s not always about where you are. It’s about how much you truly want it. And sometimes, the most beautiful things can be nurtured right where you are, with intention, love and a strong connection to Allah.
