Heavy Rain Almost Ended My Solo Ride...

What began as a simple solo ride to Gadaikallu soon became a journey filled with unexpected challenges. Heavy rain in Charmadi Ghat, navigation issues, and uncertainty tested every decision, but instead of turning back, I chose to continue. Sometimes, the best memories are created when things don't go according to plan. Located near Mundaje village in Belthangady Taluk, Dakshina Kannada district, Gadaikallu (also known as Jamalabad Fort) is one of Karnataka's hidden historical trekking destinations. Built by Tipu Sultan in 1794, the fort stands atop a massive monolithic rock at an elevation of around 1,788 feet (545 m). After climbing more than 300 stone steps, visitors are rewarded with breathtaking panoramic views of the Western Ghats, rolling valleys, and endless greenery.
