In my defense, it isn't my bike, it was a rental. We were only there for two days so I didn't want to waste time going back and forth to the shop getting a different bike, I just wanted to get out there and when you see the views, could you blame me? Now in fairness, it was like the second last week for MTB'ing in the region before the snow started falling and the bikes had endured a great summer so bound to be some niggling issues with them. I pushed myself in the lead up to this trip to try and get better, I hit the trails here in Ireland as often as I could, I got some coaching lessons with the guys at biking.ie in Ticknock, which without that I think this trip would have been completely different and I wouldnt have went hope with the huge smile I had on my face!
