BMW 528i, Soft Close Door Lock Actuator issue DIY

The driver side door on my BMW 528i, suddenly started making loud noises, each time it attempted to soft close. like a grating sound or slipping plastic gears. SInce the warrenty period had expired, I had to find an economical solution to fix this. This video is made in the hope that it will benifit others too.
