The plan: 3 trucks, 3 loads, $6,300 in one day. Trucking had other plans. My brothers and I run a 3-truck company we started this April. In this video we haul three trailers from San Diego to Sacramento at $2,100 each (over $4 a mile), then get stuck for 2 hours moving 11 miles behind a major crash, run out of hours, and have to email the broker and deliver the next morning. After that we grab two loads out of Nevada at $2,500 each, spend about $1,500 on diesel in one day, and find out our Denver load got cancelled. This is what a real week looks like as an owner operator in 2026: the good money and the bad luck, with real numbers. So is trucking worth it? Watch and decide.
