Why We Can’t Look Away From Horror Movies

Insidious turned a $1.5 million haunted house movie into a $100 million franchise by killing its most beloved character on page one. This documentary traces how Lin Shaye's Elise Rainier died at the end of James Wan and Leigh Whannell's original film and returned to lead four more chapters through the Further. It covers the 21-day shoot inside the Herald Examiner building, the Blumhouse gamble, and how a time-bending prequel turned a 67-year-old actor into horror's unkillable lead.
