Guiding Light February 1, 1990

In the Bauer kitchen, Ed, Maureen, Rae, Frank, Johnny, and Chelsea discuss whether they should postpone the wedding. Neil shows up at Lillian's with flowers for Beth. At the firehouse, Dylan gets annoyed when another firefighter badmouths Harley, as Sam looks on. Harley's nervous to be alone at her apartment over the store. Scully, the guy who's been trying to buy Harley out of her lease, lurks outside the store with a can of kerosene. He meets up another man, Hayes, who tells him that Roger isn't happy with the job Scully's doing. Scully tells Hayes he'll take care of the problem with Harley tonight. Blake shows up at her laywer's office and is ready to interrupt his meeting with another client, who turns out to be Alan-Michael. Chelsea doesn't want to postpone her wedding, but then notices her address book is missing. Rick and Rae discuss their dating mishaps. Lillian is concerned about Neil, but Beth assures her that he knows Beth is back with Phillip. Dylan forgets his chief's instructions to check equipment, and instead argues with Sam about him always assuming the worst of Harley. Pops shows up to keep Harley company, while downstairs, Scully starts a fire in the store. Blake and A-M decide they shouldn't avoid what's happened between them and go somewhere to talk. Harley complains to Pops about A-M and they discuss the lease situation before he leaves. Harley goes to check on a noise downstairs, while Pops returns to get his game unbeknownst to her. Chelsea still wants to get married on Valentine's Day, so Frank suggests they keep it small. Chelsea doesn't want to be paranoid, but agrees to change the date. Neil asks Beth to attend the topping off ceremony for the Towers project with him as a friend, and she reluctantly agrees. On campus, Blake and A-M discuss their kiss and agree that it was a momentary lapse that they should put behind them. Rae and Chelsea reminisce about their past. Harley discovers the fire in the store, but Scully knocks her out before she can call 911. Beth tells Lillian that Neil just wants to be friends, but Lillian is skeptical. At the firehouse, Dylan gets a call for the fire on 5th Street. Blake and A-M's chat is interrupted when he gets paged for the same fire (video goes in and out for this scene, though audio is fine). Sam comes upon Scully leaving an unconscious Harley in the fire, so he knocks Sam out as well.
