The Lehigh Railway: Southbound out of Sayre

Between our southbound and northbound chase of the new Ithaca Central Railroad on January 2nd, 2019, we briefly caught the Lehigh Railway's weekday interchange turn train to Sayre, PA. In this clip, the LRWY is seen as it begins its southbound journey having just finished its interchange work at Norfolk Southern's Sayre Yard. Also featured in this clip are two ex-Lehigh Valley cabooses that are slowly being reclaimed by nature on a display track along what once was the Lehigh Valley Railroad's bustling mainline. Take note of the fantastic horn echo that is produced when the train preforms its horn crossing sequence for the first crossing. It was simply amazing! 2019 Wayside Railography
