Husqvarna 701 Supermoto Review - Finally Up to Date?

The Husqvarna 701 Supermoto has received a major modernization, bringing it much closer to the latest KTM 690 SMC platform with 79 hp, ride-by-wire, a new TFT display, quickshifter and updated electronics. In this test, we ride the 701 on the road, motorway and a tight supermoto track to find out whether the update has really improved the overall package. On back roads, the bike impresses with clean low-rpm behavior, strong mid-range punch, agile handling and a surprisingly usable chassis. On track, the 701 proves that it is still a seriously entertaining supermoto. The standard tyres offer excellent grip, while the engine gives plenty of drive out of corners. At the same time, the softer fork setup and front ABS reveal where the road-focused setup starts to reach its limits when the pace gets serious. With a lap time of 57.38 seconds, the Husqvarna also showed impressive pace on the small circuit. So the big question is: has the 701 Supermoto finally become the complete modern supermoto package?
