What happens when you weld thin square tubes using 3 different welding rod sizes at the same amperage? In this workshop test, we use a constant 100A welding current with three different E6013 electrode sizes: 2.5 mm, 3.2 mm, and 4.0 mm. We compare the welding results on thin steel profiles and show how electrode size can affect the weld, heat input, penetration, and the risk of burning through thin metal. This is a practical workshop test for welders, metal fabricators, DIY builders, and anyone interested in stick welding and steel fabrication. Watch until the end to see the differences between the three electrode sizes. FORGFRAM — Turning Steel Into Something Great.
