Two felony cases. One defendant. Judge Boyd sentences her to 6 years in prison.
In a Bexar County courtroom, Judge Stephanie Boyd handles two felony matters for the same defendant. In the first, she pleads guilty to fraudulent use of identifying information, a state jail felony, and the judge sentences her to two years in state jail with a fine.
In the second, the State moves to revoke her deferred adjudication after a failed substance test. The judge questions her honesty and how she is supporting herself, and warns her about her attitude in court. After the defendant pleads true to a violation (admits it), the judge sentences her to six years in prison with credit for time served, then speaks to her directly with advice on turning her life around.
