I am a longtime CAD user and 3D printing hobbyist. I decided to share what I've learned about Autodesk Fusion 360 through my regular use of the software and hope that others can learn how to put their ideas into a CAD environment. Perhaps one day those ideas can be a reality.
This video shows how to project 3D geometry to sketches. This can be very useful for aligning pins to be extruded from one body to holes that already exist in another body as shown here. Any 3D geometry perpendicular to a sketch plane can be projected to a sketch in this way to help you create parts that align with existing 3D geometry. If the geometry isn't perpendicular, only the edges of the geometry perpendicular to the sketch plane will be projected.
I do not work for Autodesk - I just use their software and want to help anyone interested in working with it get to know it!
