Gangtok to Yuksom Solo Ride | Sikkim Road Trip

📅 Ride Date: 2nd May 2026 Welcome to Rage N Rev. The journey continues! Leaving behind Gangtok, the current capital of Sikkim, I set out towards Yuksom, the first capital of Sikkim — taking a less-travelled and more adventurous route through the mountains. This wasn’t the easiest road to choose. I had already spent the previous few days battling heavy rain, and there were moments when I genuinely considered turning back. But with the encouragement of my well-wishers, I decided to keep going and explore what was waiting beyond the usual routes. This ride took me through: 🏔️ Mighty Himalayan mountains 🌊 The roaring Teesta River 🛣️ Winding mountain roads & off-road sections ⛰️ Rocks, mud & landslide-prone stretches 🚇 Numerous tunnels 💦 Beautiful waterfalls 🤝 Warm and welcoming locals 🏍️ And plenty of unexpected moments along the way I chose the rougher route instead of taking the easier road through West Bengal — because sometimes, the road less travelled makes the journey worth remembering. And eventually… I reached Yuksom. But the real question is — was it worth taking the difficult route?
