A girl sits by a river in Babylon. Her home, Jerusalem, has been burned, and her people have been carried away captive. More than 150 years earlier, the prophet Isaiah had written words for people just like her: "Comfort ye, comfort ye my people."
This short film follows the Jewish captives through Isaiah 40–49. The Lord promises He will not forget them: "Behold, I have graven thee upon the palms of my hands." He names Cyrus, the king who would free them, long before Cyrus was born. And the old men who had seen the first temple weep as the new foundation is laid.
Made for the Come, Follow Me lesson for September 28–October 4, 2026, "Comfort Ye My People" (Isaiah 40–49). It sets the scene for a Primary class or family study.

This is an independent video. It is not produced or endorsed by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Scripture is quoted from the King James Version. The girl and her family are not historical people; they stand for the many families taken to Babylon. The events come from Isaiah, 2 Kings, and Ezra. The Savior is shown only by His hands, painted in the familiar style of Latter-day Saint art and not copied from any Church painting.
Made with AI tools: painted images and animation, a synthetic narrator voice, and an original instrumental score generated with ACE-Step. The script was researched from Church sources and every quotation checked against the scriptures.
