Sudan families await answers on missing loved ones

More than 11,000 people remain registered as missing in Sudan, with more than 9,000 cases recorded since the conflict between the government army and the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces began in 2023. The International Committee of the Red Cross is trying to find 613 missing people that have vanished in the first half of 2026, while thousands of families continue to search for loved ones separated by the conflict.
