ALCOS are the very old work horses of Indian Railways since time immemorial and their contribution to IR has always remained top notch. With the advancement of Electric locomotives and extreme electrification drive ALCOS are now slowly retiring from Indian Tracks only a handful has remained behind. Spotting TWIN ALCOS at such a break neck speed of 120 kmph is something all Diesel lovers crave for and finally I was lucky to witness its charisma on one afternoon at UMROLI station of Maharashtra. TWIN RATLAAM WDM3A led 19331 Kochuveli - Indore Express rattles through Umroli at flat 120 kmph . The fierce action from the ALCO was enough to bring a big smile on my face.
