The Amon Clan returns! Fight starts at 6:30. I left the intro because it's cool. I tried to make this look better then the Amon fight I did for the Japanese version which used items and guns (ewww). Akiyama has a pretty standard fight, he doesn't do much damage but you can find plenty of opportunities for the counter kick. Save heat for when he catches you in a combo, hold block and get ready to activate heat when he breaks your block.
Saejima has by far the easiest fight if you are used to the Tiger Drop timing. Amon's slow backhand is very easy to counter and does a ton of damage. Really not much to say here.
Poor Shinada though. His square-triangle combo is one of the only things that is remotely safe or effective. When Amon pulls out the umbrella, stay away and try to throw him after he whiffs. Right when you see him hover in the air before he summons the umbrellas, push him as close to the wall as you can, that way you have a lot of distance to properly dodge them.
Kiryu is by far most effective using the Tiger Drop. Study Amon's attack strings and bait out the preferred combo for Tiger Drops. When he unleashes the umbrellas and starts setting the ground on fire, use the R2 overdrive until the fire stops and stay at a range where he will keep throwing punches until he cools off. When he cools off, he will usually do a rushing shoulder charge, and that is a great opportunity for a Tiger Drop. Nailing that Tiger Drop out of his dashing shoulder charge has to be one of the most satisfying moves to counter in video game history. Quickly getting the read and countering feels amazing every time.
Well, that's it. Hope it's helpful.
