TEKKEN 8's Story Mode Is Dishonest....and Honest!?

I reviewed TEKKEN 8's story mode writing exclusively. Specifically towards the positive values, shortcomings that hinder what's provided & things that could've been improved from both an objective lens & how I felt from certain minor scenes. Jin Kazama being redeemed & focused heavily in this story is not my issue; more so that the execution is dishonest because it sweeps his established history under the rug & characters like Miguel ultimately get written out of the story to push the misguided execution for Jin's redemption arc. Kazuya also suffers from being an consistent threat that either sits out scenes in G-corp & not seeing Nina's background reconnaissance which effects the plot in big ways or decides to not end the conflict immediately or maximize on his capabilities established in the story interactions which makes him look like an idiot that contradicts his evil, chaotic behaviour. Looking more like a power Rangers villain or a CW Flash villain ( or Flash himself really) If I had to rank my favourite new characters for TEKKEN 8: Victor (VERY consistent with his portrayal, enhances older Tekken characters in valuable ways & his gameplay looks appealing enough to try out because of this) Reina Mishima (Everything is okay for me except the story mode's content for her) Azucena (Application & personality for me, but I can tolerate & respect her presence overall) I also rank the older TEKKEN music pieces that are provided within this game mode. Don't let my core criticisms get in the way of you wanting to try this mode for yourself because in isolation, it's fun & cutting edge. Objectively speaking, the writing provided diminishes a what they've set up in a lot of ways, & really, the goal shouldn't be perfection. It should be consistency with the core beats in what they want to achieve in honest ways like with their arcade endings & arcade quest.
