PTI–government talks in Islamabad ended past midnight in a deadlock, with no final deal on the October 4 long march. The opposition, led by Mahmood Khan Achakzai, refused to call off the protest unless Imran Khan is first met by Achakzai, Allama Raja Nasir Abbas and KP Chief Minister Sohail Afridi. The government insisted the march be withdrawn before any jail meeting. Afridi stuck to the plan and posted the route after midnight: phase one starts 1pm, October 4, from Gandi Chowk, Lakki Marwat, then moves toward Karak and Kohat. Talks may resume, but both sides blame the other for the stalemate.
