From three destinations in January 2020 to a network spanning Asia, North America and Europe, watch STARLUX Airlines grow on the map in just over seven minutes. This animated route history follows STARLUX from its first commercial flights on 23 January 2020 through 5 October 2026. Routes from Taipei and Taichung appear alongside fleet milestones, airline partnerships and the disruption and recovery of air travel. READING THE MAP • Solid lines: regular services. • Long dashed lines: seasonal and charter routes. Once introduced, these remain visible between programmes; they do not imply year-round or daily flights. • Faint dotted lines: documented suspensions. • Country and territory shading follows the supported service periods. Retained seasonal lines are not automatically counted as services operating in that period. • Repeated charter programmes do not replay a new-route opening. A seasonal programme ending is not treated as permanent route withdrawal. SCOPE AND SOURCES The video presents 48 documented airport pairs and 68 operating periods across STARLUX's own-operated passenger network. Partner-only and cargo-only routes are excluded. The cutoff is 5 October 2026, with 43 source-supported service programmes at that point. Research combines STARLUX announcements and schedules, Taiwan Civil Aviation Administration traffic records, airport releases and supplementary reporting. Some charter dates and seasonal boundaries are only known by month. This is a sourced historical reconstruction, not a record of every individual flight. It runs as one continuous timelapse.
