2005 NLCS Game 1 Highlights | Houston Astros vs. St. Louis Cardinals

These are the highlights from game 1 of the 2005 National League Championship Series. The Astros have managed to beat the Braves in the NLDS and now face the Saint Louis Cardinals. The Cardinals, after beating the San Diego Padres in a sweep, are looking to make another World Series appearance after getting swept by the Red Sox the year prior. The Astros have Andy Pettitte on the mound, and they hope he’ll deliver a strong Game 1 for the Astros. The Cardinals have Chris Carpenter, a pitcher who has really shined in the postseason and is a likely National League Cy Young Award Candidate. The Cardinals hope that they will take game 1 of the series. Disclaimer: I do not own any of the clips and game footage shown in this video.
