Since it was a bit too windy for the beach, we decided to head inland and explore the stunning mountain heart of Naxos! 🇬🇷 Our day started at the ancient Temple of Demeter, the goddess of the harvest, where we explored the ruins and the small onsite museum for just €4. From there, we tried to find a famous pottery village, enjoyed a delicious deconstructed pork lunch in Halki, and ended our day with some of the best-rated pizza on the island (even if we did start out in the kids' section!). Naxos has been so much more relaxed than we expect Santorini to be, and going inland really showed us a different, peaceful side of the island. My husband and I are not adrenaline junkies or digital nomads living out of backpacks. We're just average thirty-somethings with day jobs who believe that travel doesn’t have to be fast, flashy, or expensive to be meaningful. I started Chelsea Wandering because I wanted to document the small, quiet adventures that make travel feel like magic: eating lunch on a ferry deck, feeding reindeer in the Arctic, or finding peace in a long layover. The goal? To invite you into our story and help you find joy in slow, cozy, slightly awkward travel—no matter your size, your season of life, or your comfort zone. ✨ What You'll Find Here: 🧭 Gentle adventures in beautiful places 💬 Honest reflections (including the not-so-pretty travel days) 🛏️ Off-season escapes, woodland stays, and ferry rides galore 🔥 Occasional campfires, saunas, and emotional meltdowns (we keep it real) We don’t always know where we’re going—but we know how we want to get there: slowly, kindly, and with curiosity. 🎥 New Videos Each Month We're documenting our travels from small-town Indiana to wherever our next adventure takes us. Come along for the ride—and maybe, wander a little slower with us. 📍Next stop: The Camper Life: Restoring a vintage camper and visiting the US and Canadian National Parks 📬 Subscribe and turn on the bell so you don’t miss a moment. 🤍 Let’s Be Friends: 📸 Instagram: @chelsea_wandering 🌐 Website & Blog: Coming Soon
