We Brought Our Mobile Stage to a Street Concert! (SL100)

We took our mobile stage to a concert in the park, but this one was a little different. For this show, we brought out the Stageline SL100 and set up right in the middle of First & Main Town Center in Colorado Springs, turning a commercial business district into an outdoor concert venue. With the street closed down and the local community gathered around the small park in front of the Cinemark theaters, it was time to get the stage, power, sound system, monitors, and everything else in place and ready for the show. We went with five Martin Audio WPS on each side, ground-stacked over cardioid 18-inch subs. From there, we take you through the process of building out the PA, pinning the stage, setting up monitors, and getting everything ready to mix from our Allen & Heath SQ-6. We also talk about why we chose to ground-stack the arrays instead of flying them, how we optimize the PA for the audience area using Martin Audio’s Vu-Net, and some of the small efficiency decisions that help us get these shows done right. Once the music is over, it's straight into teardown mode. The stage gets struck, folded back up, the truck gets loaded, and we're back on the road heading to the shop. The band for this one was Rafiel & The Roomshakers, a Colorado Springs band we love to work with. They brought the energy and kept the crowd moving all night, and we highly recommend checking them out if you're in Colorado Springs. This is another look at what it takes to turn a small park in the middle of a business district into a full-scale concert venue the Eddy Sound way. Thanks for watching, and if you have questions about the production, gear, or how we put these shows together, drop them in the comments. ___________________________________________________ [Eddy Sound] • www.eddysound.com • www.threads.net/@eddy.sound •   / eddy.sound   •   / eddy.sound   •   / eddysound   •   / eddysound.co   •   / eddysound   ___________________________________________________ [Rafiel and the Roomshakers] •   / rafiel_and_the_roomshakers   •   / rafiel.slade   ___________________________________________________ #EddySound #StagelineSL100 #LiveSound #MartinAudio #RafielAndTheRoomshakers
