Sean McHargue of The Ransom Brothers

The Ransom Brothers are an Austin, Texas band bringing their own stamp to Southern country rock—and at the front of it all is lead singer Sean McHargue, whose voice and storytelling bring the Ransom Brothers’ sound to life. Their music pulls from real-life experiences and everyday stories, blending incredible harmonies, rich instrumentation, and a Southern rock edge that makes you want to turn it all the way up. With a sound that’s as soulful as it is unapologetic, they know how to turn those stories into songs that connect with people and hit just a little differently. The Ransom Brothers have been putting in the miles, tearing up stages, and building a reputation for bringing one hell of a live show wherever they go. They’ve shared the stage with some big names, but they’re continuing to carve out their own lane and make their mark on the Texas music scene. They just released their album, Cryin’ Shame, a record packed with powerful, gritty, fun, and soulful sounds, all tied together by honest, real-life storytelling. So today, we’re talking with Sean McHargue about the music, the stories behind the songs, life at the front of the band, and what’s next for the Ransom Brothers!
