Finance With Harish, The Jason Samuel and the SEBI Registration Controversy

In October 2026, a dispute between two Tamil finance creators ended in the death of one of them and the reported arrest of the other. This video puts both sides on screen, one clip after another, and labels every statement as a claim, an allegation, a denial or a media report. It takes no side and gives no verdict. Who are the two people? V Harish, 27, ran the Instagram finfluencer page “Finance With Harish” with about 1.3M followers. Reports say he is a former TCS business analyst, and that a firm called “Harish Investment Advisory Services” is linked to him. Jason Samuel, reported legal name Samuel Vijayakumar, is based in Puducherry. He is the CEO of Zemuria Inc and runs the YouTube channel “The Jason Samuel”, which makes video essays on online figures, regulatory compliance and scams. What happened, as reported? Jason published a long video questioning Harish’s SEBI registration and his AMFI registration claims. Sunday Guardian places the video on 17-18 Oct 2026. Harish’s main Instagram account was then removed. He made a video in which he accused Jason of harassment and of demanding money, and held him responsible. Harish died on 19-20 Oct in Chennai, and reports describe it as a suicide. His father, J. Vinayagam, filed a complaint at Kanathur police station. Jason’s arrest was reported on 22 Oct. Jason says he did not bully anyone and did not ask anyone for money.
