89 Key Gavioli Fair Organ plays 'Stars and Stripes Forever'

The legendary 89 Key Gavioli Fairground Organ "King Carnival" plays 'Stars and Stripes Forever' at an event in County Durham. This famous 89 Key Gavioli Fairground Organ known as "King Carnival" was owned by my friends Ernie & Peter Clousten of Cheadle for many years and travelled with their fairground rides, inflatables, a 52 Key Verbeeck Organ and stalls after purchasing it from Tom & Susan Varley of Clitheroe who sold the organ and commissioned the 115 Key Verbeeck Centenary Organ - inspired by the 52 Key Verbeeck. The Clousten Brothers had the organ fully restored by Andrew Whitehead and added a glockenspiel either side of the fibreglass bandmaster and also animated all three figures, which were static for many years. The decoration was done by the talented Alan Brindle of North Wales who decorated many famous Fairground Organs in the 1990s including Jim Cheetham's Mortier "The Tempest" and Frank Lythgoe's 98 Key Marenghi. In mid 2001, the Clousten Brothers sold the organ to Paddy McKendry and it left England to go to Ireland where it stayed until around 2017. This magnificent grand Gavioli is now proudly owned by Stuart Wright and looks and sounds absolutely sensational.
