አልረሳሽም!

I am one of the thousands of Africans, blessed with this miraculous opportunity, going to Cuba for boarding school at a young age. We were living on a beautiful youth island called Isla de la Juventud. The experience we had as a student and also as a member of the community at large was beautiful. I graduated in CUJAE with an engineering degree, 40 years ago in Cuba I got married with my beautiful wife, Mimi Haile-Georgis, in Cardenas, Matanzas, about two hours drive from Havana, our honeymoon was next to haven, in Varadero, one of the beautiful Cuba’s premier tourist resort town, stretching along the 20 KM Hicacos Peninsula. I love Cuba and the Cuban people, they are very nice people. They always treated us like friends, in fact, we ate what they ate, we went to the same school where their kids went. When my girlfriend and I grew up, they were able to lift us up to a very formal and legal matrimony. What a great blessing to know these beautiful people and to partake in life with them!
