Are Sony SLT cameras a good value?

Are Sony SLT cameras a hidden gem that most photographers overlook? They gave photographers phase detection autofocus and a live exposure preview before most mirrorless cameras could pull it off. Sony SLT cameras use translucent mirror technology to deliver phase detection autofocus and an electronic viewfinder. Phase detection autofocus is faster and more accurate than the contrast detection used in early mirrorless cameras. The electronic viewfinder also works during video recording, where a traditional optical viewfinder would black out. It can even show a live preview of your exposure before you take the shot.
