75 Years of SABC News | The story of SABC News

Good morning on this very special day, a significant milestone as SABC News turns 75 years. The first SABC News radio bulletin went live on air on the 17th of July in 1950 on Radio Springbok from Broadcast House on Commissioner Street, Johannesburg. The news service has evolved since then, with SABC News, through its TV bulletins, digital streaming and radio platforms, continuing to position itself as the leader in providing Independent and impartial news on the African continent and beyond. I'm standing in an area with great memories ... the SABC TV Foyer. This is where some of the SABC News bulletins were also broadcast, including Morning Live. For us here on Morning Live, it's also been a remarkable journey of almost 26 years. For more news, visit sabcnews.com and #SABCNews on all Social Media platforms.
