I've long wanted to do this end-to-end journey on this train! Venad Express is one of the Oldest Intercity trains in Kerala. It was originally operated as a Meter gauge train between Trivandrum and Ernakulam. It was later extended to Shoranur Jn. This was the first intercity train in Kerala to receive LHB coaches.
