What does it take to put workers at the centre of human rights due diligence (HRDD)? Over five years, FLEX worked alongside workers, businesses, suppliers and civil society organisations to test a worker-centred approach to HRDD in outsourced service supply chains. In this webinar, we launch our learning report and share practical lessons from putting this approach into practice in outsourced cleaning. We explore: What a worker-centred approach to HRDD looks like in practice How businesses and their partners can create meaningful opportunities for workers’ experiences to shape decisions What we learned from testing and adapting this approach — and what others can take forward in their own work We discuss what worked, what challenged our assumptions, what we changed along the way, and what we would do differently. While the project began in outsourced cleaning, the learning is relevant across outsourced services and other contexts where workers may be less visible, dispersed or have limited opportunities to influence decisions affecting their work. This webinar is particularly relevant to businesses, service suppliers, CSOs, trade unions and other worker organisations, as well as funders, researchers and advisers working on HRDD, responsible business and workers’ rights.
