Experience the spectacular arrival of the Eyemouth Herring Queen 2026, one of the Scottish Borders’ most cherished maritime traditions. This video captures just some of the highlights from the 2026 Eyemouth Herring Queen Festival, beginning with a cinematic timelapse as the boats return towards Eyemouth before taking to the skies for aerial views of the flotilla making its way into the harbour. Watch as the Herring Queen arrives surrounded by local fishing boats, with close-up footage of the procession and hundreds of locals lining the harbour walls to welcome everyone home. The celebrations continued on the water with a fantastic display from the Eyemouth RNLI lifeboats, joined by the Berwick RNLI lifeboat and the St Abbs Independent Lifeboat, creating a memorable spectacle for everyone watching from the shore. Flying conditions were challenging on the day due to strong winds, meaning some of the planned drone shots were not possible. However, I hope this film still captures the atmosphere, excitement and community spirit that makes the Eyemouth Herring Queen Festival such a special event.
