Coaster Noob at World's Weirdest Theme Park (August 2018)

A couple of months back, my friend Ida and I went to BonBon-Land in Holme-Olstrup, Denmark. This has been called one of the weirdest theme parks in the world, due to its theming. The idea for the park came from a candy brand called BonBon, which sold odd candy themed to things like dog farts and sewage. When the park then opened, the characters from the candy, being different kinds of animals, became the park's mascots, and the park's first roller coaster, Hundeprutterutchebane (Dog Fart Coaster), was themed to the beloved dog fart candy. For outsiders, the park may seem really weird and maybe even wrong, but to us Danes, the park holds a great power of love and nostalgia.
