This is what the traffic signals at Bathurst and Queens Quay could look like if symbolic transit signals like the ones used in Quebec, the US, and many other countries were allowed for use in Ontario. Signal length is not to scale. Every pedestrian countdown is 10 seconds only just for the sake of this animation. Meaning of each transit indication: White horizontal bar: stop White equilateral triangle: changing to red, prepare to stop White vertical bar: proceed straight White diagonal bar slanted left: priority to turn left White diagonal bar slanted right: priority to turn right
