NO MORE ELEVATOR in this HAUNTED HOUSE | Castello dei Medici (Europa Park)

You know me well by now: you know how much I love Horror Houses in all their forms, whether they’re walkthroughs or dark rides! 🏰👻 Only a few months had passed since my visit in December 2025, when the elevator pre-show was still there. Returning in April 2026, the elevator was already gone, and that section of the queue was completely redesigned. I have to admit it felt a bit strange—I’ve been riding this attraction for so many years that I was totally used to the old layout. However, I have to admit the queue flows much better now, and I rarely wait more than 5 minutes. Removing the elevator and its show scenes—which naturally slowed everything down—might actually have been a smart move for overall capacity. What do you think about this change? Do you miss the old pre-show, or do you prefer the quicker queue?
