27 साल बाद लिया चाचा की मौत बदला! Mumbai Underworld | Sadiq Kalia Encounter | Nagpada Murder

In 2026, a chilling act of revenge brought closure to a 27-year-old underworld grudge in Mumbai. On 20 April 2026, 78-year-old Iqbal Ibrahim Selia was brutally murdered with a chopper in his Nagpada home. Mumbai Police investigations revealed that the killing was not a random crime, but a long-planned revenge for the 1999 police encounter of gangster Sadik Kalia.Sadik Kalia, a key operative linked to the Chhota Shakeel gang, was killed in a police operation in Dadar in 1999 after a tip-off. At that time, his nephew, Sadik Jawaar, was just two years old. Twenty-seven years later, the now 29-year-old Jawaar, along with his accomplice Naushad Mithani, allegedly executed the cold-blooded murder of Iqbal Ibrahim Selia, whom they believed was the informer responsible for Kalia’s death. The duo carried out the brutal attack and then fled across Maharashtra — from Nagpada to Antop Hill, Vidyavihar, Kalyan, and finally to Nagpur, over 700 km away — in an attempt to evade capture. However, Mumbai Police’s Crime Branch used technical surveillance, mobile tracking, and CCTV footage to trace and arrest both accused within four days. This sensational case has once again highlighted how the scars of Mumbai’s infamous 1990s gang wars, involving figures like Dawood Ibrahim, Chhota Rajan, and Chhota Shakeel, continue to linger even decades later.
