This is perfect for beginners who are growing dragon fruit in terrace garden or home garden. 🌸 COMPLETE GROWING STAGES EXPLAINED WITH DAY COUNT 🌸 DAY 1 to DAY 7 - STAGE 1 : FLOWER BUD STAGE Small green bud appears on the cactus stem. It will grow fast. Don't touch it. DAY 7 to DAY 15 - STAGE 2 : BUD ELONGATION STAGE Bud becomes big and pointed. It starts showing yellowish colour at the tip. Give water and vermicompost. DAY 15 to DAY 20 - STAGE 3 : FLOWER BLOOMING - THE MOST BEAUTIFUL NIGHT Dragon fruit flower blooms only at NIGHT from 8 PM to 6 AM. It is one of the biggest flowers in cactus family. Size is 25-30 cm. Very fragrant. DAY 21 - STAGE 4 : POLLINATION - MOST IMPORTANT This is the secret for fruit. You MUST do hand pollination at night between 9 PM to 11 PM. Take pollen from anther and put it on stigma. If you don't pollinate, flower will fall. DAY 22 to DAY 30 - STAGE 5 : FRUIT SET STAGE Flower dries and falls down. You can see a small green ball left behind - that is your baby dragon fruit! DAY 30 to DAY 45 - STAGE 6 : FRUIT GROWING STAGE Fruit grows from lemon size to fist size.
