This is the complete introduction to the AI Business Analyst program, a six-week journey that turns professionals into data-literate business analysts who use AI to accelerate their careers. We cover what a business analyst actually does, how AI has fundamentally changed the role, and the full roadmap of the course.
We start with the traditional BA role: requirement gathering, system analysis, use case creation, stakeholder management, prioritization, development handoff, testing, and documentation. Then we show how tools like Claude, ChatGPT, and Gemini have compressed weeks of work into days. BAs no longer handwrite BRDs, PRDs, and FRDs; they prompt AI to draft them. SQL queries aren't typed from scratch; AI generates them. What now separates a great BA is not coding, but domain expertise, critical thinking, and common sense, the skills AI cannot replicate.
The six-week curriculum: Week One covers data fundamentals (what data is, its types, and how it is collected and stored). Week Two makes you AI-fluent (key terminology, agentic AI, and using Claude effectively). Week Three teaches SQL from basic to intermediate for querying data and building KPIs. Week Four focuses on use case creation and AI governance. Week Five covers discovery and requirements gathering, including how to ask better questions. Week Six is a capstone project where you present a complete solution. Industry experts with 10 to 15 years of experience join throughout to share real client scenarios, alongside guest lectures on dashboards, communication, and AI governance.
We also lay the groundwork for Week One by explaining why data understanding is no longer optional. You will learn what data is, the difference between qualitative and quantitative data, and how structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data show up in real projects. We walk through a sample revenue use case to show how a BA moves from a business question to analysis, prioritization with frameworks like RICE and MoSCoW, development handoff, and user acceptance testing. Along the way, you will see how AI fits into each step without replacing the judgment that only a person with business context can bring.
Whether you are moving into a BA role, are already a BA wondering how to stay relevant, or are an engineer, product manager, or marketer who wants to understand what BAs really do, this session gives you clarity. You will see why data and AI fluency are now the baseline expectation, and how modern BAs have moved from documentation writers to strategic problem-solvers and trusted advisors.
In this session, you'll learn: ✅ What a business analyst does in traditional and modern settings ✅ The core BA responsibilities, from requirements to pre-sales POCs ✅ How AI compresses the BA workflow from weeks to days ✅ Using Claude, ChatGPT, and Gemini for analysis and documentation ✅ Why SQL is now essential for every BA ✅ The difference between BRD, PRD, and FRD documents ✅ Using AI for KPIs, use cases, and process optimization ✅ What makes a modern BA: domain knowledge, critical thinking, common sense ✅ Prioritization frameworks: effort vs. impact, RICE, MoSCoW ✅ Data types: qualitative vs. quantitative, structured vs. unstructured ✅ How data is collected and stored in databases and cloud platforms ✅ Why BAs must understand AI governance and guardrails ✅ The full six-week roadmap through to the capstone project
