Interstellar Colonization Mission to Proxima Centauri - Kerbal Space Program RSS/RO

This video follows a crew of over a hundred on a colonization mission to the star system Proxima Centauri, 4.2 lightyears from Earth. The ship is assembled in low Earth orbit over eight launches using a fleet of fully reusable rockets. The entire mission requires over a dozen launches, including two Starship-Superheavy launches, and the ship will serve as landers and surface habitats at Proxima Centauri. The crew will be focused on the rocky exoplanet Proxima b and create a fully self-sustaining colony on the surface. A small group of the crew also explore three other exoplanets in the Proxima Centauri system using a tug constructed at the colony and landers which were brought as cargo. A special ship is constructed at the colony to resupply the fusion reactors by scooping the atmosphere of Proxima c. The main colony ship uses a magnetic confinement fusion engine and has enough delta-V to cross the void in a reasonable amount of time. But even so, the time and distances are so large that every crew knew they would never see Earth again. The ship is capable of returning once unladen of all cargo, but it will be a long time before anybody is ready to make such a large journey so soon. I hope you enjoy this video!!
