I Spent 7 Days Building a Secret Bushcraft Shelter Deep in the Wilderness In this episode, I spent 7 days deep in the wilderness of Northern Sweden, building a small bushcraft shelter using mostly natural materials found in the forest. This is the kind of place where I spend a lot of time with my family and friends, surrounded by the forests and lakes of Northern Sweden. For most of the week, we stayed at our swedish stuga spending our days exploring the forest, walking around the lake, having fika, våfflor, Pannkakstårta, cooking outside and simply enjoying time together. I also spent two nights completely alone at the shelter, while most evenings I returned home to spend the night with my family and enjoy a “kväll runt elden” together. The shelter is hidden deep in the Swedish wilderness, surrounded by dense forest and close to a quiet lake. This is a remote part of Northern Sweden where wildlife is everywhere. The region is home to brown bears, moose, foxes, wolves and wild geese. You can even hear wild geese in the background during parts of the video. This was a simple bushcraft and wilderness camping project, but also a chance to slow down and spend time outdoors with the people close to me. I wanted the shelter to feel natural and completely integrated into its surroundings, using wood and materials from the forest wherever possible. Along the way, I spent time collecting materials, working with hand tools, making a fire, cooking outdoors and enjoying long evenings around the fire with family and friends. Life here is pretty simple. Forest, water, fire, good food and people you know. And honestly, I wouldn’t have it any other way. I det här avsnittet spenderade jag 7 dagar långt ute i den norrländska vildmarken, där jag byggde ett litet bushcraft-skjul med så mycket naturligt material från skogen som möjligt. Under veckan bodde jag tillsammans med min fru och våra barn i vår skandinaviska tipi. De hängde också med ute i skogen och nere vid sjön, så det blev mycket tid ute tillsammans. Jag sov två nätter helt ensam vid skjulet, men för det mesta gick jag tillbaka till tipin på kvällen och sov med familjen. Platsen ligger i norra Sverige, långt från städer och civilisation. Här är skogen tät, sjöarna ligger tätt och man vet aldrig riktigt vad man kan få syn på. Det finns bland annat björn, älg, räv och varg i området, och under videon kan man till och med höra vildgäss ute i skogen. Det här var inget avancerat bygge. Jag ville hålla det enkelt och bygga så naturligt som möjligt, med material som redan fanns runt omkring mig. Det blev mycket ved, yxa, eld, matlagning ute och såklart en hel del tid bara sittandes och njuta av lugnet. Det är något speciellt med att bara kunna försvinna ut i skogen några dagar. Ingen stress, inga måsten, bara skog, vatten, eld och familjen.
