A fully-storyboarded ending for David Lynch's 1984 film DUNE which never made the final cut, although some elements were used in the rest of the final film. This is a fan edit created by Max Evry, author of "A Masterpiece in Disarray: David Lynch's Dune - An Oral History." The boards were likely done by Mentor Huebner, with some color paintings by Anthony Masters. This "Transcendental Ending" is hinted at in several drafts of Lynch's script, and takes its inspiration from a line in Frank Herbert's DUNE MESSIAH: "It was said this Atriedes came to change our world and our universe, that he was the man to make the golden flower blossom in the night." -Farok.
