Presenters: Angela James (University of KwaZulu-Natal), Elize Küng (North-West University), Jacqueline Scheepers (Cape Peninsula University of Technology), Karen Venter (University of the Free State), Martina Jordaan (University of Pretoria), and Nikki Green (Rhodes University) are a collaborative group of Community Engaged Service-Learning practitioners representing six South African universities.
United by a shared commitment to advancing service-learning scholarship and practice, they work
across institutional boundaries to facilitate national webinar series, present at conferences, and
contribute to collaborative research and publications. Their work focuses on strengthening critical
service-learning, fostering ethical
and reciprocal community partnerships, and creating spaces for collective learning, dialogue,
reflexivity, and transformation within higher education.
