Explore the majestic National Monument of Pakistan! The National Monument of Pakistan is located at Shakarparian Hills in Islamabad. It was inaugurated in 2007 by Gen. Pervaiz Musharraf, the then-President of Pakistan. It is designed by architect Mr Arif Masood, and constructed at a cost of Rs. 580 million. It symbolises National unity with four petals representing the four provinces - Punjab, Sindh, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan. It is one of the most popular tourist spots of Islamabad with a museum, terraced gardens, walking trails and a cafeteria. It is maintained by the Capital Development Authority (CDA)
