AURORA – Starvation | Are We Starving for Human Connection? | Producers Reaction

Today I’m reacting to AURORA’s Starvation, from her 2024 album What Happened to the Heart? This is a fascinating and unsettling song about a very modern kind of hunger, our need for love, touch, connection and meaning in a world increasingly dominated by technology, consumption and virtual experience. As a recording artist and producer who has spent five decades making music, I’m particularly interested in the way AURORA combines a deeply human message with increasingly electronic and almost confrontational production. There are some interesting parallels here with themes I’ve recently explored through Ren: what happens when the systems and technologies we create begin to distance us from the things that actually make us human? I’d love to know what Starvation means to you.
