Afrotheria | Elephants, Aardvarks, and Golden Moles

Afrotherians are a fascinating superorder of mammals that originated in Africa. They were shaped by the unique geology of that continent, allowing them to remain isolated from other groups of mammals for millions of years. As a result, they are a highly diverse group, from the fully aquatic sea cows, to the burrowing golden moles, to the massive elephants. Take a look as we investigate their evolution, and the living lineages of this group.
