A Lift Lock Cruise with Descendants.

Rev. Ross Blount’s Grandfather was William Dennon C.E.. Dennon helped to build the Peterborough Lift Lock in the early 1900's, Specifically the ram foundations for the "tubs" that carry the boats up and down. Traveling with his grandson, Carlo Tran from Iowa and Hosted by local Historian Gord Young, The two Iowans enjoy a tour over the lift locks with some local family. The Peterborough Lift Lock opened in July 9, 1904. Our tour took place Monday July 10th, 2023. One Hundred, Nineteen Years, and a day after the Lift Locks began operation.
