Welcome to the very first episode of the podcast! (And in case you were wondering, "eh oop" is just my name jumbled up!). To kick off this series, we are diving straight into the messy, confusing reality of trying to figure yourself out, and why all roads lead back to you. Going into my final year of school, I was met with unexpected struggles across the board—from my 9 AM sport business class all the way to my 3 PM marketing research class, plus navigating complicated dynamics with advisors and friendships. I spent so much time wanting to reinvent myself, trying to fit in, and managing new expectations that I ended up feeling like an imposter everywhere I went. I was running in circles. I kept hoping that a new environment, a new identity, or external approval would magically fix my internal struggles. Instead, I learned the hard way that no matter how hard you try to change your surface-level life, you still bring the same internal challenges with you. Here is the core lesson of today's episode: You can blame the environment, the classes, or the people around you, but real growth happens when you realize that your peace is your responsibility. Every lesson I learned this semester brought me back to one truth: you are the common denominator in your life, and you hold the power to shape your response. In this episode, we explore: The Imposter Syndrome Trap: Why trying to reinvent yourself to fit in only leaves you feeling more lost. Running in Circles: The exhaustion of trying to fix external things when your internal foundation is what actually needs attention. Owning Your Peace: How to stop seeking approval from others and start focusing on how you can best benefit from the situations you are put in. Join the conversation: What is one lesson this school year has been trying to teach you that you've been running away from? Let me know in the comments below!
