Have you ever looked at a chart and felt as though all your recent effort barely counted? I've weighed myself every day for almost fifteen years — mostly for awareness and maintenance. Then I got a new scale with an app, and its record started at a fitness level that felt great but was hard to maintain. Since then I've been trying to stabilize, and against that first entry, the chart says I'm behind. A tracking baseline can hide the maintenance you're actually doing. This episode is about how easily a starting point becomes an instruction, how to choose a standard honestly instead of just moving the target when a result disappoints, and the questions that help you explain your standard before deciding whether you like the result. I chose a range. Staying there counts — even if the chart doesn't call it progress. The reading-log example in this episode is hypothetical. The range I chose is my own standard, not a target for anyone else. 🎁 Free first chapter + companion workbook: https://theunrestrictedlife.com/chapter 📕 The book — The Unrestricted Life: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0H4WZNP47 💬 Is the way you measure progress still measuring what you're trying to do?
