In this interview, Aleksa talks about ThunderScope, an open source oscilloscope that streams samples over PCIe/Thunderbolt straight into your computer. Your PC's memory becomes the sample memory, and your CPU and GPU handle the display and analysis. We cover why she built it, why she makes open source hardware, and the analog front-end challenges she worked through on the way to production. One of them was fixing a 400 kHz bump in the frequency response with 300 fF of capacitance.
