He Fell at Home Alone — We Restored His Home Before He Returned

This is the home of an elderly man who lives alone and has no children. About two weeks before we arrived, he fell inside his home. Because he had difficulty moving and his phone was not within reach, it was four days before his niece found him. He was taken to the hospital and, thankfully, we later heard that he was recovering well. While he was in the hospital, his niece asked us to help clean and organize his home. The house was less than 50 square meters, but years of limited mobility had made everyday life increasingly difficult. Several lights were broken, the bathroom needed a deep clean, the floors were covered in dirt and grease, and many areas had been left untouched for a long time. His niece asked us to keep only his new clothes and recently purchased items. Everything else was sorted carefully, with usable items and scrap separated from the trash. We spent three and a half days cleaning the home, repairing small things, replacing a few broken items, and making the space safer and easier for him to move around. By the end, the home felt completely different—cleaner, brighter, and much more spacious. We hope he makes a full recovery and can soon return home to enjoy his refreshed living space.
